Civil History
This search determines whether an individual has been a party to one or several lawsuits. This search is conducted on site at the Superior County Courts across the nation. Restraining orders and lawsuits against former employers as well as harassment lawsuits may be revealed with a civil search. Please note that there are limitations to the search. Extremely common names should not be searched in counties with large populations. Because there are no uniform identifiers (such as date of birth) used in a civil docket, it is often difficult to identify the individual.  For example, a search for Mike Jones in Los Angeles County would reveal hundreds of cases and it would be difficult to determine if any of those cases actually involved that one particular Mike Jones.
