Laura Wheeler, Founder and President
Laura attained a background in public records research while working as a controller for a regional collection agency. Laura received her BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from Cal State University Northridge. Laura is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Santa Barbara Human Resources Association, Public Record Retrievers Network, and the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs. Laura has made several presentations to Human Resource Associations about new and proposed legislation affecting the pre-employment screening profession and its impact on employers compliance. Laura oversees general operations at SafeCare.

Stephen Wheeler, CFO
Steve is a Certified Public Accountant with over twenty years experience in public accounting, beginning with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. Steve received his degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his public accounting career, he has consulted with numerous small to mid-sized businesses. Steve has also worked with numerous start- up enterprises. Steve has experience with IPO's and has worked on numerous SEC filings, including registration forms S-1 and S-3, and forms 10K and 10Q.

Daniel Wood, Internet Technologies Director
Daniel carries a rich background in developing mission critical n-tier software for companies in a wide variety of industries. His experience in developing web enabled solutions for businesses extends back to the advent of internet e-commerce. Daniel attended the University of California, Santa Barbara as a Regents Scholar where he studied physics and math, receiving a BA in physics with a minor in astronomy and planetary physics. Daniel is responsible for the development and maintenance of all programming on SafeCare’s website.
